My
name is Nadine and I am a Professional Clinical
Counselor with Supervisory credentials.
I am currently
working as a Dual Diagnosis Therapist with Psych
and Psych Services, where I conduct both chemical
Dependency and Mental Health Assessments. I facilitate
the evening adult Intensive Outpatient group, as
well as individual therapy sessions. My primary approach
to treatment is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, where
individuals are encouraged to examine the correlation
between their thoughts, feelings and behaviors, as
well as how these elements impact one’s relationship
with self and others. I also utilize a Person-Centered
approach to therapy as well as Behavior Modification.
I hope to someday be able to incorporate the healing
power of Pet Therapy into my work.
I received my
B.A. in Psychology from Ohio State University and
then went on to obtain my Masters degree in Community
Agency Counseling from Cleveland State University.
During graduate school I served as chapter Vice President
for Chi Sigma Lota, a National Honor Society for
Counselors. I completed my Internship at the Center
for Family and children located in Cleveland, Ohio.
During my career, I have worked in Cuyahoga County,
Huron County, and Lorain County with a wide variety
of Mental Health and Chemical Dependency issues.
I have experience in helping individuals both in
the outpatient setting as well as in Inpatient Psychiatric
Facility. I have worked primarily with adults and
adolescents, both self-motivated to seek treatment
and court mandated populations. I have also facilitated
groups on Cognitive Distortions as well as Anger
Management.
I appreciate the opportunity to introduce
myself to you and look forward to working with you.
