Hello,
my name is Marva Jones; I am a licensed professional
clinical counselor.
After finishing my graduate degree at Ashland University/Ashland
Theological Seminary in 2004; I worked as a counselor
in a prison based therapeutic community and served
as the program director for approximately three years;
after which I served as a clinical director for an
agency for two and a half years. In 2010 I joined
the private practice of Psych and Psych as the Chemical
Dependency Director as well as a therapist.
As a professional clinical counselor I have experience and training in chemical dependency counseling, addictions counseling, marriage family and couples’ therapy, diagnosing and treatment of mental and emotional Disorders, personal and social counseling, adolescent counseling, consultation, supervision, and administration.
In addition, I am an ordained minister with Harvest Network International and have received Christian based training and education. I have a PhD through Dayspring Seminary in Biblical Counseling which has equipped me to provide faith based counseling.
Prior to my career in counseling I worked for 10 years in finance, 8 years in the insurance business, and 16 years in real estate. My love for people inspired me to get into the counseling profession.
On a personal note; I enjoy reading, traveling, bike riding, spending time with family and friends; music, and sports. I am such a lover of sports that I spent three years as a National Football League Contract Advisor/Sports Agent.
Thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself to you; if I can ever be of service to you, your family, or your friends; please do not hesitate to call me.
