I am a professional counselor working towards my independent licensure. I provide chemical dependency and mental health services here at Psych & Psych. Currently I am teaching a number of programs for at risk youth in the area as well.
My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from John Carroll University and a Masters Degree in Art Therapy Counseling from Ursuline College. As part of my education and training experience, my internships were completed at Applewood Centers, Cleveland Christian Home, and Metro Hospital.
My related work experience has been with the Lorain County Domestic Relations Court. While there I provided individual Art Therapy services for at risk youth on probation. I also met with juveniles in the Detention Home providing crisis intervention. I have a great deal of experience in group facilitation with adolescents as well as adults. I have utilizted cognitive based curriculums in a group setting, focusing on anger management, cognitive restructuring, as well as providing educational components to the therapy. I have also facilitated groups for families in need.
