My name is Tyffani Monford
Dent. I have been a licensed psychologist since 2002.
After moving from a small town in Ohio, I relocated
to the Dayton area where I completed my undergraduate
and graduate studies at Wilberforce University and
Wright State University respectively. I went on to
internship in Wales, Wisconsin working with incarcerated
juveniles. Quickly getting sick of the cold weather,
I sought warmer climes in Richmond, VA. Returning
to Ohio, I continued expanding my competencies in
a variety of areas.
I have training and experience in working with a
variety of populations and mental health issues.
I have attended conferences and received training
in mood disorders, sexual issues, etc. An area of
specialization is working with children with sexual
behavior problems and juvenile sex offenders. I serve
on committees addressing these populations at the
state and county level.
Between working my multiple jobs, I am learning Spanish
with the goal of being bilingual in two years (Mi
profesora de espanol dice estoy estudiante bueno).
In my spare time, I enjoy cooking wonderful meals,
reading, and spending time with my understanding
husband and beautiful daughter.
