Latasha Gordon, LPCC, LICDC

Latasha (she, her), is a Licensed Professional Counselor/ Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor in Ohio and a Veteran. She works with clients aged 8 and above. Latasha’s background encompasses in-patient hospitals, medication-assisted treatment facilities, and full-service addiction & mental health facilities. Latasha has facilitated groups and works with individuals, families, and couples.
Latasha utilizes a holistic approach, focusing on individuals’ mental, physical, emotional, social and spiritual well-being. Specific specialties that she has worked with in the past have been, substance use, trauma/grief, and helping veterans adjust to civilian life and cope with complex PTSD/MST. Within and outside of couples/families therapy, Latasha has assisted with resolving conflict, improving communication and rebuilding trust.
Latasha is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. Some evidence-based therapeutic approaches used are Motivational Interviewing, Level 1 Internal Family Systems (IFS), CBT, and she is Certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Latasha provides care that is informed, respectful, and empowering to LGBTQIA+ individuals and their experiences, such as minority stress, identity acceptance, transgender-specific issues
and substance use.
The approaches that Latasha utilizes help to provide emotional support and help clients build resilience along with fostering self-determination and control.
